THIS EVENT

As you will note there are two Ingliston events running back to back. Well we have had various comments from the "Oh No" to the "great set up for the Jim Clark" well just to keep you "accurately informed" it will NOT be a re-run of the first Ingliston, there are completely new routes including the use of a new part of Ingliston to us, allowing us much more flexibility and more miles. It will allow us to run two completely different stages prior to returning for service. The new part is 100% tarmac but has never been used for rallying or motorsport of any kind in the past and the stages will have t be built from scratch from bales and tyres. So please don't be put off returning, we would like to be able to continue using this new part and so need it to be a success.

Please note to compete in this event you DO NOT need to tax or insure your car.

And please, if you want to know anything about the Championship or events, please, contact us or the organising clubs directly rather than listen to malicious gossip or take notice of what's written by THOSE NON ORGANISERS WHO ONLY THINK THEY KNOW on other forums, we are the ones that have the facts.

FACTS

To keep you in the loop for accurate record keeping the following are the facts;

a) Yes the event will be the second at Ingliston in 2010. (A good set up event for the Jim Clark)
b) Yes we have a new part around 1.2 mile square that means that we will have to manufacture a stage/s. (We have done that before at another event)
c) Yes you do cross a road but it is a private road that will be closed for the duration of the event.
d) Yes the event covers two different parts of the venue but it is still one venue, so it is still covered by the same permit.
e) Because of all of the above, competitors will NOT need to tax nor insure their cars, so if you could let your competitors know that would be great.

We as a club run professional events and are always on the lookout to add a variation to what we have offered in previous years and this year we have managed to acquire the use of this extra piece of land that has not been used for events before. Whilst we do not yet know how it will stand up to motors sport, at least we are giving it a chance, something that we hope that you the competitors will understand and support.

There is now some good news and some bad news.......

The bad news is that the guys were down doing the routes and the Ingliston Sunday Market part of the venue is NOT suitable for what we need, it is already starting to break up so rather than risk any damage we have turned that part of the venue down, the good news is that we are having a look at using yet another part and we are just waiting on hearing back from the venue owners.

We will keep you informed on here.
